Frank Cornelissen is an avid winemaker dedicated to expressing terroir<\/i> through his wines. His attention to detail is reflected in the evolution of the style of his wines. Initially, they were linear, precise, and full of minerality, but over time, they reached maturity, striking a balance of fruitiness, spicy notes, and dynamic minerality. A key element in Franco\u2019s philosophy lies in the vineyards, and especially in the fact that his choice was the Sicilian Etna due to the unique diversity of volcanic soils. Nerello Mascalese, the main variety on Etna, brings a complexity to the fore that Frank describes as a blend of Pinot Noir and Nebbiolo. His best wines combine dry tannins, like Nebbiolo, with rich, fruity characteristics similar to the best Pinot Noirs. In addition, Frank practices sustainable agriculture, avoiding any use of herbicides and pesticides. Occasionally, he uses biodynamic treatments adapted to his own vineyard rhythm instead of standard biodynamic calendars. This commitment is reflected in a caring attitude towards the environment, whereby Frank creates wines that not only reflect the terroir<\/i>, but also show a deep respect for nature. <\/p>\n
