Description
Heinrich’s white Blaufränkisch from the Leithaberg site is a red grape vinified as a white wine, made from directly pressed grapes. An interesting and unusual approach, right? The vineyards grow on limestone and mica schist, giving the wine pronounced minerality. Gernot and Heike Heinrich ferment the must in large wooden barrels and amphorae, after which the wine rests on the lees for one year. On the nose, it reveals fresh citrus, jasmine, and delicate notes of hay, while the palate is captivated by its vibrant freshness.
