Francesco Cirelli natural winemaker

AZIENDA AGRICOLA CIRELLI

„I try to convey as much of the uniqueness of the locality, the vintage, and my personal sentiment towards the wine as possible into the winemaking process. I believe that wine must reflect its place of origin and its creator.“

Francesco Cirelli, a landowner since 2003, holds a degree in economics from a distinguished European university. He shares his passion for organic farming with his partner Michele. He is especially devoted to his wine fermented in amphorae, a process during which manual work plays a key role. An additional emphasis is placed on the emotional engagement! He often cleans amphorae by himself, entering them in a swimsuit. This special approach creates an authentic experience, where the focus is on the individual, the clay vessel, and the wine. All aspects of production are based on the commitment to respect the natural cycles of olives, vines, vegetables, and livestock farming. The implementation of key methods, such as crop rotation, natural fertilization, and free grazing, creates a balanced environment suitable for the production of premium olive oils, wines, vegetables, fruits, and meat. The Cirelli farm is dedicated to organic farming, allowing nature to dictate the pace of each activity. Through the natural interaction of animals with the environment, they ensure that the grazing and fertilization of vines can be achieved without the need to use harmful chemical agents.
