Domaine Guillot Broux - organic winery

DOMAINE GUILLOT-BROUX

„By respecting the soil and applying organic farming, the vine absorbs all the elements it needs to be healthy and balanced, by which thriving and harmonious wines can come to the fore.“

Domaine Guillot-Broux was founded in 1978 by Jean-Gérard and Jacqueline Guillot (née Broux) and is now managed by their children, Patrice and Emmanuel. They cultivate 17 hectares of organic vineyards that stretch through the villages of Cruzille, Grévilly, and Chardonnay, and are divided into two appellations: Mâcon Cruzille and Mâcon Chardonnay. Wines from the Cruzille soil have a mineral character and require a longer aging period to reach their full potential, while the soil from the Grévilly and Chardonnay positions produces young, more fruity wines that, with a little patience and love, become better and more complex over the years. It is important for them to respect the earth, which is why they are using exclusively natural methods in the fight against pests and diseases, thus increasing its capacity to absorb minerals. The result are healthier grapes and a balanced wine. This is precisely the philosophy of this Burgundian house, which combines the classic expression of terroir with conscious and responsible agriculture and viticulture practice.
